About Me

Sara Sanders

Sara Sanders, LPCC

Hi, I’m Sara and I’m so happy you found my website! I enjoy working with millennial women, young adults, and teens who are struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, and panic attacks. I help women identify their anxiety triggers, learn coping skills, improve their communication, and build up their self-esteem so that they can fully enjoy their lives and follow their passions and goals.

From my own personal life experiences and working in the field for 10 years, I know that asking for help can cause a lot of fear, guilt, or shame. I truly believe there is NO SHAME in seeking help and that owe yourself some time to focus on YOU.

My Counseling Approach

My counseling approach is open, non-judgmental, and laid-back, steering clear of the stereotypical stiff and clinical approach that counselors sometimes have. I love using humor in my sessions and really connecting with my clients. We will laugh when it’s funny, share pain when it’s hard, and we may shed a tear or two during our counseling journey together.

I am a Christian and a counselor, but I’m not a “Christian Counselor”. I am comfortable using a Christian lens for my client’s treatment if requested, but I also use the evidenced based modalities I am trained in.

How I Can Help

I am highly trained in multiple techniques that help treat anxiety disorders. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques with clients in sessions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, mindfulness, stress management, assertiveness training, anxiety reduction, and work/life balance.

I hope my website will help you learn a bit more about me, my counseling services, and if I’m the right counselor for you. I know that finding the right therapist that you “click” with can be tough, so please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or ask for a free consultation call.
